The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 4.7
All Audio Converter is a versatile application that combines several functions you may perform with your audio files and CDs. Those functions include audio recording, audio converting, audio CD ripping, and audio CD burning.
Each one is a separate tool that runs in an independent window. All these functions support four of the most popular audio formats - MP3, WMA, WAV and Ogg.
For starters, the program's main window simply acts as a main menu from which you can access all the individual functions. When you select one of them, the main window automatically minimizes and the window for the selected function is shown. The audio recorder is a small window that allows you to capture any sound currently playing on your PC or coming through a microphone. It allows you to select your preferred output audio format and start, pause or stop your recording at any moment. The audio CD ripper, on the other hand, loads the list of all the tracks on an audio CD automatically for you to choose which ones you want to extract and save as audio files. You can customize the output directory, and select the output format also, whose advanced parameters you are allowed to configure.
As for the audio converter, the program supports batch conversion, so that you can convert several files simultaneously between the four formats available. You can add your source files individually or by folders, choose your output directory and output format, and then start the conversion. Finally, and as its name suggests, the audio CD burner allows you to create audio CDs from audio files in the supported formats. You can select your burning drive and, again, add the audio files to be included in your disc either individually or by folders.
In short, All Audio Converter is a comprehensive application that provides you with four key audio tools in one. Unfortunately, it only supports the four audio formats mentioned above.
